    • Location is fantastic. Staff are very warm and friendly.
    • Location Nice room
    • Outstanding Service:Every staff member at Ancasa Hotel displayed impeccable service standards - it's clear the entire team follows a consistent service philosophy of excellence. I witnessed a particularly challenging situation where your staff demonstrated extraordinary patience with a difficult guest. As an observer, I found myself frustrated on behalf of your employee who handled the unreasonable behavior with remarkable professionalism and grace.Exceptional Coffee & Café:The in-house barista prepared THE best coffee - truly outstanding quality that rivals any specialty café outside. The café itself is quiet and comfortable, providing an ambiance comparable to premium standalone cafés. A perfect spot to start your morning or unwind.Comfort & Tranquility:Despite being located right in the middle of a busy intersection, the hotel is exceptionally quiet. The rooms provide a peaceful retreat from the bustling city outside - truly impressive soundproofing and comfort.Unbeatable Location:The location is perfect for food enthusiasts, café hoppers, and street photography. Everything you need is within walking distance, making it ideal for exploring Kuala Lumpur's vibrant food scene and urban culture.Overall:Highly recommended for travelers seeking excellent service, exceptional coffee, comfort, and a strategic location in the heart of KL. The staff's dedication to service excellence truly sets this hotel apart

    Cons -

    • TV channels are quite limited and there is hardly any trash bin in the public areas of the hotel, except for a recycling area in the main lobby
    • The gym is average and would benefit from better ventilation - it felt quite musky during use. Lift wait times can be lengthy even during non-peak hours. The à la carte breakfast pricing is quite steep, so I opted to explore the excellent food options in the surrounding area instead.
    • The only problem was that there was only one staff manning the front counter @ 12.00 midnight and he was answering phone call from a customer. So I had to wait quite a few minutes before he could attended to me.

Comfortable bed and spacious room. Staff was nice and polite. There were plenty of food outlets and convenience stores around the area. LRT station is about 200 meter from the hotel.

The only problem was that there was only one staff manning the front counter @ 12.00 midnight and he was answering phone call from a customer. So I had to wait quite a few minutes before he could attended to me.

Our stay at Ancasa was truly exceptional! The rooms were impeccably clean and modern, with comfortable beds and great views of the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and ensure our needs were met.. close to everything KLCC, Chinatown, Bukit bintang

    room is a bit small

Great location to explore Chinatown and beyond. Great welcoming staff who were able to advise accordingly. Rooms spacious and comfortable - managed to get two rooms together which was great for us as a family.

Swimming pool was smaller than pictures maybe indicated. However, saying that it did the job and kids were happy.

    Location close to the Chinatown

for 3 night, they did not change the bed covers + the shower pressure is very low + the water is not that hot in the morning

Good location for Chinatown and short walk to Bukit Bintang. Beautiful entrance/foyer and friendly helpful staff. Great pool area and spa facilities. Lovely big room well equipped and loads of storage space. Very nice hotel would stay again.

Breakfast had no 'Western' options other than toast or cereal. Only hot food available was curries etc (which were nice btw) but would have been good just to even have some eggs/omelette maybe?

The location was perfect for my trip. Very central and not far from the trainline. The room was very comfortable with good amenities. The staff were helpful and the restaurant had some good options on the evenings I arrived back late or didn't venture out in the heavy rain.

The breakfast was acceptable, but not fabulous. The hairdryer in my room was not working well. The bathroom was a bit tired and had a slight smell, which is common in SE Asia, but avoidable.

    Just the location, unfortunately.

This hotel was horrendous in every aspect, from the staff to the decor, to the cleaning and maintenance. It was incredibly poor and terrible value for money. I had a feeling this might be the case when I booked the room, as some of the reviews were so bad, but my friend insisted on staying here because 20 years ago he stayed at this hotel and said it was one of the best hotels he had ever stayed in.From the moment we got out of the taxi, the hotel staff just walked by and did not help us with our bags, clearly seeing that we were struggling. This was a very bad sign. My friend soon realized that 20 years is an incredibly long time, and since his last visit, the hotel was not the same anymore. We arrived after travelling from Singapore, only to be greeted by the most obnoxious and poorly behaved staff members, including the cleaning staff who mocked and laughed at me as I was checking in. This was incredibly disrespectful and made me feel very uncomfortable right away.Upon checking in, we found the room to be in a very poor state. There was a prominent stench of mould, everything was either broken or had visible repairs, the bathroom had no towels, and there was only one bathrobe for two people in a broken wardrobe, which had makeup on the collar indicating it had been used. There was human hair all over the carpet. The windows had been screwed shut, so you couldn't even open them to get fresh air. The shower was faulty, providing only cold or extremely hot water, and the bathroom was so dark you couldn't even see yourself while brushing your teeth. My friend, who I was travelling with, had contracted influenza and was very sick and just wanted to go to bed. For this reason, I did not raise my concerns with the hotel. I decided that I simply could not stay at this hotel and booked another hotel nearby and left, the other hotel was half the price, in a better state of repair and maintenance, and had the most delightful staff members.

First impressions after entering this hotel, the main lobby looks grand, having a double and half height ceiling, left is cafe restaurant, and right is waiting lounge with piano display, if sometime can have people play it, it will be fantastic. Reception front service staff, she is very friendly and helpful, teach me how to do self-check-in with paying credit card also. Most of the guests staying are medium high and high level, Malay, India, China, Europe and maybe from Saudi also have.About the location and room, I think no need for me to explain much on this, because plenty of you, have explained it, which the answer is Great and Clean. All the staff here, they have done a good job.

The only thing I don't like is that one of the lifts has a bad smell, when i first entered the lift, after that I felt they had improved.

I recently stayed at the Ancasa Hotel in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur, for five nights (Dec 2024- Jan 2025) Overall, my experience was sufficiently great, though there were a few areas for improvement as I observed. The room was clean and comfortable, but it was noticeably smaller than what was depicted in the images on Booking.com and Google Maps. Housekeeping was consistent, except on the third day when I had to call three times to get the room cleaned. The WiFi service was reliable for the most part, but I did experience occasional drops in reception in certain areas of the hotel. Additionally, when using multiple devices (a laptop and two smartphones in my case), there was some lag when streaming videos or watching YouTube. The staff were polite and attentive, addressing all my requests promptly. When moving it was observed that the lifts and lift lobby could get quite crowded and busy, especially during peak times. It required some patience or careful timing to avoid long waits.A standout feature for me was the bed—both the mattress and pillows were soft and provided a comfortable night’s rest without any neck or shoulder pain in the morning. Additionally, the hotel’s location is excellent, being close to the vibrant night street markets and the Plaza Rakyat train station. Despite a few inconveniences, I would stay here again for its convenience and comfort.

While my overall stay-experience was significantly great, there were a few minor inconveniences. The bathroom lacked smaller towels for washing your face or hands, and there was no floor towel to prevent water splashes from the shower, which left the floor wet and slippery during shower time. Additionally, the walls were not entirely soundproof, so if you have sensitive hearing or are easily disturbed by external sounds, you might find it challenging to fall asleep. These small issues aside, the hotel offers a decent stay for its location and amenities.

We were there around 13pm plus. It was a pleasant surprise that we are able to check in earlier ra5thab the need to wait till 2pm. The location is really excellent nothing to pick on.

The instructions in how to operate the TV is missing but it doesn't affect our trip much
